Vote Michael for Maniac

"That's huge."

Paris Hilton made a saying a few months previous. It was "that's huge" or simply "huge". At the time, I thought it was the stupidest saying in the world. It was. It still is. But no, I know she must be describing one event in particular.

August 9th.

August Ninth is the BIGGEST (or in this case, Hugest) EVENT TO EVER OCCUR IN VOTE MICHAEL FOR MANIAC HISTORY! On August 9th, it will be exactly 365 days since Michael the Maniac and his trusty sidekick Caitlyn the Candidate fell onto the Internet. Let me tell you what has happened.

We (Caitlyn, Emily, Ashley, and I) had been planning VMFM for maybe a year before this sight was released on August Ninth, 2008. The first VMFM to ever be made was the one and only: Tippity Tappity. Sadly, this video never aired, but I assure you we are planning a remake. Anyways, it was not long after Christmas in 2007. I had gotten a digital camera, and showed Caitlyn and Ashley. We instantly started taping.

We decided to make a website, and brainstormed multiple titles. Soon, I came up with the title Vote Michael for Maniac (which suprises me to this day, because I stink at making titles.) We all thought it was a little to long, so Caitlyn shortened it to VMFM. We liked the ring to that.

One hour later, Michael the Maniac emerged, although he was much different than the Michael the Maniac you all know and love today. This maniac was completely a maniac, who chased people around the house with chairs.

On August Ninth, Caitlyn and I searched Google for "websites to make free websites". Not long after, we found a site called Freewebs, after trying multiple free website makers. Freewebs was different than the rest of the websites. It let you make a professional, and colorful  website...for free. Emily and Ashley, however, made their own website, Awkward Emu. After some technical difficulties, Awkward Emu crashed and burned. I re made it, but pretended like I was a hacker and hacked into the site. It is still under construction. But, since they left VMFM for AE, Caitlyn and I were CEO's of the VMFM website. Ashley was still a part of VMFM, but Emily left. She is in a few web casts, though. We are working on a few web series's that have her in it, but it's hard to have too many people, because to have 6 people who are all in the mood for taping webisodes is very hard.

Not long after that, I got a proffesional Digital Camcorder. It was dark blue, and taped the instant classic, The Winner Takes It All (Maniacal Version). Sadly, it broke after I forgot to charge it for a few months. So, I had no means of taping any webisodes. But all that changed when I told mom I wanted a web cam for my birthday. This was about half a year after VMFM was released on the web.

Mom thought that if I got a web cam, so should Caitlyn, so we could do web chat and stuff like that. (I still have not set up web chat, though). So, we both had a web cam. The problem was fixed.

After spreading the word, our website got to where it is today.
